    Dr. Leen Alhoussan understands the importance of continuing medical research in order to discover novel diagnostic and treatment options for various illnesses. Dr. Leen Alhoussan has previously participated in a number of research initiatives during her brief medical career.

     

    For example, she has worked on ovarian cancer research, a female malignancy with a high fatality rate compared to other cancer types. She collaborated on this study with the University Health Network and Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.

     

    She has also taken involved in neurology research initiatives at the University of Ottawa. The goal of the research effort was to understand more about how the central nervous system's nerves communicate to regulate various portions of the human body.

     

    She has also collaborated with the University of Ottawa on a kinesiology department research project that focuses on the diverse movements of the human body, how muscles cooperate with one another, and how the body processes signals to stay synchronized. She has nurtured her interest in research by learning numerous new abilities.
